Resources
There are many online resources and organizations that offer guidance around cyber security and IT - here are just a few of them.

NIST
What is NIST and why is it important? Does it really apply to my small business?
NIST is the National Institute of Standards and Technology at the U.S. Department of Commerce. The NIST Cybersecurity Framework helps businesses of all sizes better understand, manage, and reduce their cybersecurity risk and protect their networks and data. As with any organization, you want to start with a solid foundation. By baking in industry best practices from the start, your employees and your organization as a whole will reap those benefits for years to come.

SBA
Why would someone want to hack me? Isn't my business too small?
Per the US Small Business Administration:
Cyberattacks cost the U.S. economy billions of dollars a year, and pose a threat for individuals and organizations. Small businesses are especially attractive targets because they have information that cyber criminals (bad actors, foreign governments, etc.) want, and they typically lack the security infrastructure of larger businesses to adequately protect their digital systems for storing, accessing, and disseminating data and information.
Surveys have shown that a majority of small business owners feel their businesses are vulnerable to a cyberattack. Yet many small businesses cannot afford professional IT solutions, have limited time to devote to cybersecurity, and don’t know where to begin.

CISA
What resources are available to learn more?
Aside from NIST and the SBA, there is also CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency). CISA is the operational lead for federal cybersecurity and the national coordinator for critical infrastructure security and resilience. Their goal is to lead the national effort to understand, manage, and reduce risk to our cyber and physical infrastructure. Through their website you can learn about threats to businesses, report incidents, training, and many other resources.
